GET
INTO THE HALLOWEEN SPIRIT:
MUST
READS FOR THE SEASON
I
absolutely freakin' love Autumn because I know the along with the
leaves turning and the temperatures of summer fading, Halloween is
lurking around the corner. It just puts a smile on my face thinking
about it!
Although
I read these kinds of books all year around, I tend to go on overload
as Halloween approaches. Here are some of my recommendations getting
into the Halloween spirit. They aren't all centered around Halloween,
but are effective just the same.

- Dark Harvest – Norman Partridge
- Pet Sematary – Stephen King
- Something Wicked This Way Comes – Ray Bradbury
- Heart-Shaped Box – Joe Hill
- The Shining – Stephen King
- Ghost Story – Peter Straub
- Books of Blood – Clive Barker
- They Thirst – Robert McCammon
- Salem's Lot – Stephen King
- Hell House – Richard Matheson
- The Amityville Horror – Jay Anson
- Carrion Comfort – Dan Simmons
- Seed – Ania Ahlborn
- IT – Stephen King
- The Vampire Chronicles – Anne Rice
- Dead Sea – Brian Keene
- The Haunting of Hill House – Shirley Jackson
- The Exorcist – William Peter Blattly
