WINNER OF 2012 INDIEREADER DISCOVERY AWARD FOR YOUNG ADULT. Grace has
lived in the Smokies all her life, patrolling with her forest ranger
father who taught her about wildlife, tracking, and wilderness survival.
When her dad goes missing on a routine patrol, Grace refuses to believe
he's dead and fights the town authorities, tribal officials, and nature
to find him.
One day, while out tracking clues, Grace is rescued
from danger by Mo, a hot guy with an intoxicating accent and a secret.
As her feelings between him and her ex-boyfriend get muddled, Grace
travels deep into the wilderness to escape and find her father. Along
the way, Grace learns terrible secrets that sever relationships and
lives. Soon she's enmeshed in a web of conspiracy, deception, and
murder. And it's going to take a lot more than a compass and a
motorcycle (named Lucifer) for this kick-butting heroine to save
everything she loves.
There is a place where nightmares are real. It is a dark and terrifying
place, hidden from the world we know, by borders that only the most
unfortunate of souls will ever cross.
James Halldon woke up in
the dark, alone, without any food or water, without a clue where he was,
and with no memory of where he came from.
It only got stranger.
James has somehow found his way to The Corridor. A place where zombies
stumble in the darkness, ever seeking the flesh and blood of the living.
A midnight place that no human should ever see and the prison of a
creature that has destroyed entire worlds.
Somehow James has to
learn to survive. But he is not alone. The lost souls of others who have
drifted into this infernal place and died also haunt this world.
Trapped forever in the afterlife.
They have been waiting a long time for someone to come along.
When self-made property developer, Niall, is attacked by vampires on his
way home, his neat and ordered life soon begins to fall apart. His
rescuer, the effervescent Mel, declares herself to be his Muse - better
known in modern times as a Guardian Angel - and offers him a business
proposition; she wants them to go into business as supernatural
Slightly skeptical to say the least, Niall eventually
agrees to work one case with her - helped in no small part by his
rather strong attraction to Mel.
Mrs Hart's house has been
plagued by a series of deadly and inexplicable events, culminating in
the death of a local boy. As they look into possible causes, Niall finds
himself growing even more fond of Mel, although she seems determined to
keep him at arm's length.
He discovers why she she is so
reticent but that is soon overshadowed by the cause of Mrs Hart's
problems; a foe so powerful that even the immortal Mel seems terrified!

Reading is one of my favorite hobbies. I love sharing what I'm reading and posting my thoughts (reviews). Although this blog started out as reviews for paranormal romance, it has grown to include many other genres such as: horror, true crime, fiction, etc..
I am not a professional reviewer by any means, but I know what I like in a book. Reading is my favorite hobby and I love to connect with others who share my love for books.
I'm a mom of two teenage boys and a nine year old girl. I also have two awesome dogs (Maggie-a boxer; Bandit- an akita mix) and a beta fish named Scooby. Other than reading, I love drag racing, watching Ghost Hunters and Vampire Diaries, baking, painting, and basically anything creative.
