MY TAKE

4 STARS

When I read the prologue I honestly thought I wasn't going to like this book. I was wrong—I did end up liking it. Zombified is a novella, and a very quick read. You won't want to put it down until the end. I read it in a matter of a couple of hours.

The story is told from the main character's (Cassie's) point of view. Cassie manages to get herself bitten during a zombie attack at her high school. The story follows Cassie throughout her “turn” into a zombie. I think this is the part of the story I like most. Usually zombie-type stories are about the people who are running from the zombies.

I found this story entertaining with likable characters. The only thing that I would suggest is for the author to trash the prologue. A prologue sets the tone of the story to be told and I don't think the prologue of this book adds to the story, if anything is detracts from it.
