MY TAKE
3 STARS
This novella turned out to be an entertaining, fun, fast-paced read. You could easily sit back and read The Lost Lord in one day.
There are some interesting characters in this book, including Abby's pet who happens to be (of all things lol) a skunk--yeah, really I'm not kidding. He's pretty intelligent, too!
Abby has the power to call upon the spirits of the dead. Her father had made her feel as though her power was a curse handed to down to her by her mother. What she didn't realize was that there were far worse things roaming the Earth besides her. She figures it out pretty quickly once she is tricked and attacked by a vampire with an evil agenda.
A lot happens in this novella, and there is no way I could go into further detail without giving tons of spoilers (which I hate to do). I am simply going to say this: I liked The Lost Lord, and if you like vampire romance, you will enjoy this book.
